Question 1: What effect does environmental tobacco smoke have on the health of children.
Tobacco smoke harms children in a serious way. Second hand smoke kills just as much as normal smoking does, maybe even more. It is wrong to harm children in such a serious way. When the children are older they may die young because of the second hand smoke. It personally think about time someone stand up and said lets ban smoking while children and in the cars. (bla0054)
Tabacco smoke can be very harmful to young children, and i agree with the new laws to ban smoking in cars with children under 16.
Banning smoking completly probably wont happen for a long time how long has smoking been around? and has it been banned yet? no it has not! smoking in pubs has been banned but that is a public place so there was not much of a say in that in that. but banning smoking in cars will cause i big fuss! your car is your car its up to you what you do in your car.. your kids are your responsibilty so its up to you? just like they cant ban smoking in your own home... its kand of invading other peoples space an privacy... i don't smoke but its none of the goverments business... i agree with banning smoking in public such as cafe's an other food places.... but as i said its none of their business.its up to the parents to take responsibilty.. really good point in this article because children really don't have much of a choice to contribute to the adults in control. it's not like they can say "Hey I don't want to drive in this car whilst you are smoking." Vic should do the same thing, i hate seeing children in cars with smokers. its way unfair to the child. what you do at home is for you, but in a car its a VERY small space and maybe the child doesn’t want to have that "second hand smoke". and yes they wind down windows but still its not enough, i think at least in a car it should be banned in car. the age for alcohol is 18 that because its drug and kills you in the end so does smoking, its also a drug. so "second hand smoke" or not they are drugging their kids. and no one said they are bad parents but they are not to do the best for there children and some how killing them with “second hand smoke” might have something to do with that -.- (FLY0008)
